After his cycle of piano compositions related to paintings by Lovis Corinth, Martin Vatter has now worked on paintings by Franz Marc. Four imaginative progressions with no more than 22 minutes playing time are offered on this CD which is sold exclusively on his website. The music is both catchy and striking and indeed creates images in the mind. MBL chief developer Jürgen Reis is responsible for the perfect, natural sound and the result is sensational. He recorded without limiters, overdubs or other aids so that the live sound of the piano stands in the foreground.
